Description

A kartika in Nepal also sometimes referred to in Tibetan as a trigug or drigug, is a small, crescent-shaped hand-held ritual flaying knife used in the tantric ceremonies of Vajrayana Buddhism. The kartika is said to be "one of the quintessential attributes of the wrathful Tantric deities." It is commonly known as the "knife of the dakinis", and is displayed on one's personal shrine for any Dakini practice, but especially for Chod or Troma.

This blade is made of iron and the nine pointed Vajra handle is made of brass. This ritual piece is in excellent condition.

Measures 6 inches tall x 6 1/4 inches long.
