Based on the acclaimed 1982 film, the new musical comedy Tootsie comes to Broadway this April. Starring Santino Fontana, Tootsie tells the story of a talented but difficult actor who struggles to find work until an audacious, desperate stunt lands him the role of a lifetime. With music and lyrics by Tony Award-winner David Yazbek, Tootsie is directed by Tony nominee Scott Ellis. Tootsie is scheduled to open April 23 at the Marquis Theatre.
