Mr. Belafonte is/was on the front lines of civil rights. He was close
friends of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador,
and a celebrity ambassador for juvenile justice issues with the American
Civil Liberties Union. During Mr. Belafonte's entertainment career he has
earned "three Grammy Awards, a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Recording
Academy, an Emmy Award, and a Tony Award."
