This auction lot is a perennial favorite around here. The word is out, there are renowned ‘tamaleras’ in our community, and they are willing to share the bounty of their family secret recipes to support the UpValley Family Centers. So, here it is, again…
Today, no celebration in the Hispanic community is complete without a proper showing of tamales. Families argue over who makes the best tamales, and friendly rivalries abound. Now, here is your chance to be the lucky recipient of 100 tamales (or two batches of 50). This year they will be made by local chef, our own Tamale Queen, Oralia Garcia, who has over 25 years of experience making tamales for fiestas and farmer's markets and for other local events. Cheese, pork, chicken … you can even request them vegetarian if you wish!
Tamales are just perfect for a large family celebration or other special occasion. We are grateful to Ms. Garcia for her contribution, and pleased that you and your family can enjoy her wonderful creations. Here is your chance to celebrate your own “Tamalada”, where coming together to enjoy wonderful food is the very foundation of all things family.
Tamales will be delivered in Napa County, or may be picked up at one of the UpValley Family Center locations, in SH or Calistoga. May be redeemed all at once (100) or in two batches of 50 tamales each. 30 days advance notice, please.

Collection of California Sales Tax: Unless a valid resale permit is presented to seller prior to the sale, purchaser will be required to pay all state and local retail sales taxes applicable in the date of sale. Resale permits will be accepted only for businesses that are reasonably expected to buy and sell wine. Sales tax will be collected on the fair market value of each lot which contains tangible goods.
