The Coin of Excellence challenge coin was used for the Vital Connection 2015 exercise in Colorado. It inclludes the logos of the CO National Guard, CO state government, and CO State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. The front of the coin states: "Connected to serve oru community, state and nation."

The back of the coin has the Vital Connection Exercise logo which includes Vital Connection - 2, 2015, Colorado National Guard. Around the edge of the coin it says "Delivering Excellence in Communication and Cyber Security."

The second coin is from the Colorado Office of Emergency Management. The front of the coin include the CDOT logo and the words Incident Management. The back of the coin includes the words "Preparedness, Response, Recovery and Mitigation." It also includes the symbols for fire, snow, radiological emegergency, and earthquake.
