Your student will get to have his/her name appear on Vine Hill’s new LED Marquee several times throughout the day announcing that he/she is the Jr. Earthquake Marshal. Alongside Mrs. Neilsen your child will announce via the intercom that it’s an earthquake drill, and then announce that the shaking has stopped. The Earthquake Marshal then walks to inspect classrooms to assess for damage and gets to use the bullhorn to dismiss classes after everyone lines up.

Following the Earthquake Drill your child will get a tour of the newly constructed Scotts Valley Middle School and will be treated to lunch with Mrs. Neilsen directly following. Pictures will be taken throughout the day and lifelong memories will surely be made as your student helps to keep his/her friends safe!
