Description
Actors, musicians, dancers and public speakers all know that patterns of tension (in body, mind or breathing) can interfere with their best performance. Some habits are known; others are unconscious…just the “block” is known. The Alexander Technique helps performers identify and change habits of unnecessary tension. NYC iSchool parent, Rebecca Tuffey, is a certified Alexander Technique and Art of Breathing teacher with over 15 years experience. In this individualized 50 minute hands-on lesson, you or the performer in your life, can experience a little more ease and freedom. Rebecca is an Adjunct Faculty member in the performing arts departments of Pace University and The New School. She has extensive experience helping people in pain. This lesson is appropriate for anyone 16 years or older.
