From Ms. Bates's 5th grade class

The students painted a strip of paper with watercolor paints. They chose their colors and used watercolor techniques such as wet on wet and salting to make their strip unique. When the strips were dry, they were woven together to create a beautiful, multicolored mat, which is surprisingly strong. Each student is represented in this project. A black background was chosen for contrast.

Size: The woven mat measures 12x12 inch and it is placed inside a 16x16 inch frame.
