Brooklyn Slate Company was founded by Brooklyn graphic designer Sean Tice and Parsons graduate student Kristy Hadeka. Slate is one of the most durable, naturally occurring stones readily available. Our boards are preferred in restaurants around the world for their craftsmanship and durability. Each board we cut is at least 3/8” thick, making it stronger than most plates and sturdy enough to withstand commercial dishwashers.
