High-quality, handcrafted checkerboard, tic-tac-toe board, and checkers, made from 100% solid mahogany, maple, and oak. No stain used on the board - just the natural color of contrasting wood species. Oak checkers are stained (red and black) and sealed to give a nice contrast against the natural colors of the board.

All joints are glued with Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue - no screws or nails for a clean look. All corners are slightly rounded. Several coats of a wipe-on clear satin poly finish for the protection of polyurethane and the look and feel of an oil rubbed finish. Hand sanded between all coats.
