Janet W. Penley began her photographic studies in New York at the International Center for Photography in 1996 and has studied with Joel Meyerowitz, Jerry Vezzuso, Arlene Collins and the team of Sonja Bullaty and Angelo Lomeo. Her primary focus is travel photography with an eye toward seeing the beauty in the simple and the mundane. Janet currently resides in San Francisco and travels extensively worldwide, most recently to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Her work has been shown at the “Marketplace” of Rayko Photo Lab in San Francisco and at the School of the International Center for Photography. Her collection can be viewed at jwpenleyphotos.com.
