It is a wonderful story about Dr. Mayo and other CCS friends who worked on the disentanglement of Ibis a humpback whale on Thanksgiving Day in 1984. The successful disentanglement of Ibis is what lead to the organization of the CCS Whale Disentanglement program and provided the foundation for the many whales and sea turtles that have now been saved!
