Each membership entitles one child to unlimited hours of Open Shop time per month, as well as a 10% discount on most Bit Space offerings. Open Shop is best described by the maker's mantra: "design - build - iterate." Each participant receives regular guidance on his/her project(s) from one of our Guides, as well as the training, time, space, and tools necessary to complete that project. Guides work with each student to set achievable goals and benchmarks to keep the project(s) moving towards a realistic end given each students skills and interests. Attendance is limited to ensure a better-than-10-to-1 ratio of students to Guides.
