GOLFTEC TECFIT Driver Fitting Process

CURRENT DRIVER ASSESSMENT (25 minutes) - To establish a benchmark of your current driver with baseline metrics, your fitter uses a Foresight GC2 launch monitor to measure spin rates, launch angles, carry, total distance and dispersion.

IDENTIFY & TEST DRIVERS (30 minutes) - Your fitter then crunches the numbers and suggests 2019 Callaway, PING, Mizuno, and TaylorMade driver heads to test that would be most suitable for your skill level and ball flight tendencies. Your fitter will start by making adjustments to each test driver head by tuning the loft angle and moving perimeter weighting to achieve the desired ball flight curvature. In testing there will be hundreds of different shaft combinations that are narrowed down to just one optimal flex and weight that provides the ideal trajectory of ball flight. The fitter will use a frequency monitor to measure precise cycles per minute (CPM) of the optimized driver shaft.

FINE-TUNING (30 minutes) - With your best driver head & driver shaft combination locked in, your fitter hones shaft length by measuring your wrist of floor and overall height, swing weight is determined by your club head speed and tempo, and grip sizing configured by measuring your overall hand and longest finger length. These specifications also include over a hundred different grip textures to choose from, narrowed down to the best fit for your typical playing weather conditions.
