The Council gives free white canes to people whose low vision qualifies them to receive one. Annually, the Council distributes over 400 white canes to people with low vision throughout Wisconsin.

In the words of a white cane user, "My white cane has become an extension of my hand. My cane has opened doors to conversations I would not have had, and given me the opportunity to teach others that just because I’m blind, it doesn’t mean I can’t do the things I want. I just may do things differently or at a slower pace.”

Each $35 donation will fund one white cane and the shipping charges to mail it anywhere in Wisconsin.
