Description

Louise Nevelson was ahead of her time. A fearless artist that submerged herself in the art world with a vision of recycled items that would otherwise be trash, and repurpose them into dynamic art with a story. Not only did our children learn about an American immigrant who defied the odds of a heavily male driven art world as an innovator, but they learned the power of simplicity of everyday items. Students were asked to reflect on ISLA's IB principles and find items from their home that would otherwise become trash, recycling, or charity items. The item that they chose must have represented an IB objective, and been less than 4”x4”. Each item was painted black for the display. The artwork is displayed on a repurposed piece of furniture that can hang on a wall.

This is a Live Event Item.
