With the help of Sra. Claudia (special ed. para.) the students in Srta. Dilley's class have been knitting since November and have been quite enthralled by it. They began by hand knitting (no needles) and then moved on to "friendship bracelets". Finally, during the Fiesta de la Amistad (2/14) they began making woven pieces. Through these projects they have learned about patterns, the importance of making mistakes, and mindfulness, among other things. We wanted our Spring Fiesta donation to showcase the talent of the students and their progress in knitting throughout the school year.
