Description

Become a rocket scientist! Ms. Richardson (first grade teacher at Baker) and her husband will host a fun filled afternoon!

Mr. Richardson, a former Naval Weapon Engineer Officer, will teach you all about rockets. The session starts with a briefing on the physics behind rocketry, followed by details on real-world rockets and missiles. Each student will then assemble and decorate their own fully-functional rocket! The rockets are 15 inches long and are capable of reaching an altitude of over five hundred feet. Students will then proceed to Baker field to launch their rockets under adult supervision. The rockets parachute back down to earth after their flights and can be re-used. Participants can take their rockets home after the class, and can re-launch them again under adult supervision.

Limit 12 participants - first grade and above;
$50/person

Parents or older siblings are permitted, but count towards the participant total.
