Description
Tom Sawyer Camp offers a 3 hour “Ranch Camp” for campers who love horses and want to learn about all aspects of taking care of a horse.
Your winning bid can earn you one day of Ranch Camp during our 2018-9 school year. (Saturdays, Sept-May, ages 7 and up) 1pm-4pm. (Value $58)
Campers will have the opportunity to learn how to take care of horses – everything from grooming to tacking to riding (of course!) to feeding to cleaning up after them to putting them to bed. Campers need not have any riding experience; all level riders ages 7+ are welcome!
The day starts by grooming and tacking our horses. We will have an arena riding lesson and then we will head out on the trails for a mid morning trail ride. The day typically starts at 1:00PM and ends at 4:00PM, when your camper is ready for a nap (and dreams of owning their own horse)!
Cost for the day is $58. TSC will provide a snack during the camp. Ranch Camps take place on Saturdays, twice a month.
