Peter Brown is an author and illustrator of children's books  His titles include New York Times bestsellers like The Wild Robot, The Curious Garden, Children Make Terrible Pets and Mr Tiger Goes Wild.  Peter's illustrations for Creepy Carrots! written by Aaron Reynolds, earned him a prestigious Caldecott Honor.  He's also won a Horn Book Award, 2 EB White Awards, 2 EB White Honors, a Childrens Choice Award for Illustrator of the Year, a New York Times Best Illustrated Book Award and 6 New York Times bestsellers.

Peter has always loved telling stories  Growing up in New Jersey, he told stories by drawing whimsical characters and scenes from his imagination.  As a teen, he began writing.  He attended the Art Center College of Design and studied illustration.  His love of both words and pictures led him to take several courses on children's books while at school, and before long, he had found his calling.
