Patina opened its first store in South Minneapolis, in the fall of 1993. It was the vision of husband and wife, Rick Haase and Christine Ward. They both brought art and business backgrounds as well as years of retail experience. The vision was to provide an escape as well as to inspire.

The stores are filled with a well curated selection of products that are constantly evolving, an art project in progress. Patina has now grown to multiple locations throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.
