Description
Earl Campbell was a star running back for the Houston Oilers from 1978-1984. Campbell was drafted first overall by the Oilers in 1979 and had an immediate impact in the league, earning NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Campbell was named Offensive Player of the Year and NFL Most Valuable Player by various entities in each of his first three seasons, during which he rushed for 5,081 yards and scored 45 touchdowns. Campbell was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1991.
