Dr. Julia Nielsen (mother of James, '21) is the voice teacher of many of the Bay Area's star classical singers. Her students perform regularly with the San Francisco Opera and the San Francisco Symphony. But even if your stage is your shower, she can help you improve your singing voice and enjoy singing more! During this one-hour session, you will learn about how the singing voice works, receive an assessment of your vocal coordination, and tailored suggestions for vocal improvement. You will also work on a song of your choice, in any musical style.

Julia served on the voice faculty of the San Francisco Girls Chorus for 15 years, and is a specialist in working with teenage girls' voices.
