A learning environment should be welcoming and comfortable! Being my first year in a 3s classroom, I'm slowly growing not only in knowledge and experience but in gathering supplies and developing a classroom environment that is best fit for 3s. Clearly defined centers is essential. Classroom rugs help define these spaces for young ones while also making little ones comfortable while playing. Learning to manage emotions is another aspect of learning in 3s. A calm down location in a classroom provides a safe place for learners who become overwhelmed or need a break from peers to learn how to best manage those strong emotions.
