Our class made a quilt – we traced each child’s handprints onto the material and then had the children write their name on a white sheet of paper. We then used a light table to trace each name on to the material so that on the quilt it would be the child’s actual handwriting. We also had Mrs. Huizenga and Ms. Schmidt trace their hand prints and when we placed them on the quilt we made a heart shape. Addisyn Bingham’s great-grandmother sewed the entire quilt together and hand stitched around each hand print.
