The ever-growing popularity of Cynthia King Dance Studio (CKDS) is a testament to Artistic Director Cynthia King’s commitment to progressive dance education. CKDS has been a vital part of Brooklyn’s rich dance culture for more than a decade, consistently presenting relevant and thought-provoking work. Now embarking upon its fifteenth year, the studio continues to train dancers of all ages and abilities in its newly designed dance center in Flatbush. 

Our goal is to provide our students with the tools necessary to reach their full potential, as technicians, artists, and members of an ensemble. We believe that dancers excel in a structured environment, in which hard work and dedication are valued, and success is earned. Whether learning to be on time for class, or how to execute a grand jeté, our students are taught invaluable lessons that will help them throughout their lives.
