Our goal at Kinship is to offer you a beautiful, healthy, alive place to support your practice. First we removed the plaster hiding the original brick walls. Then we took down the ceiling so you can spend Sivasana looking at the hardwood beams and trusses that support the arched roof. During daylight hours, the many windows eliminate the need for electric lights and we chose energy-efficient infrared heaters for our hot classes.

Those handsome benches that you see throughout the space were made with the Douglas Fir from the ceiling we removed. Wherever possible, we used no- or low-VOC and energy-star products.

A beautiful studio is nothing without a team of warm, knowledgable, supportive teachers who enjoy leading class as much as you enjoy taking it. I have been practicing yoga in Los Angeles for almost 20 years so I knew just what I wanted when it came time to select my core staff: people who are dedicated to their own practice and willing to share their challenges and successes, teachers who will inspire and don’t need a rigid script to do so, leaders who are laid-back and relaxed. I’m excited to share this amazing group I’ve selected from across the city.
