This framed piece is one-of-a-kind, hand-printed using oil etching inks in yellows and greens on heavy weight printmaking paper by artist Lonnie Harvey. Dimensions: 20 inches x 12.75 inches. Located at the Umbrella Community Arts Center in Concord, MA, Lonnie has been creating monoprints, described as "painterly prints," for over twenty-five years. This is a unique process that combines painting and printmaking, using a "plate" (usually plexiglass) as a canvas, and with a variety of inks using rollers and paintbrushes. Lonnie's monoprints contain scenes painted from nature, inspired by the places she has visited. No two are alike.

Lonnie's one-of-a-kind prints contain scenes painted from nature: landscapes, still lifes, and organic forms that are simple, yet contain complexities of color, shapes, light and texture. She is inspired by the places she has visited, not only by their raw natural beauty, but also by the emotional responses they can elicit. Many of the images come from her own backyard, and from walks through the woods surrounding Concord and Carlisle.
Over the years, Lonnie has exhibited widely in the New England area.
