Are you looking for a unique way to commemorate a child’s birthday? The Friends of the Library invite you to take part in our incredibly popular Birthday Book program!

Whether you’re a grandparent, parent, or special friend, you can create a personalized book plate to be placed in one of our library’s existing books that will honor the special day. With your $25 taxdeductible donation, Media Specialist Lynn Sloan will help you and/or your special child select a favorite book from our library’s collection. Then, onor near the child’s special day, the birthday boy or girl will be presented with a festively decorated package that contains the library book with the personalized book plate inside, plus a birthday memento commemorating your contribution that can be taken home as a keepsake.

Our children delight in how the Birthday Book program promotes their special book to their fellow students, which in turn supports reading throughout the entire school. Moreover, donations from the program help ensure that our children have access to the best possible library collection, as well as fabulous reading enrichment activities.

Your special child’s personalized birthday book can then be included inour library’s exceptional collection for this year and many years to come!
