The Works is a hands-on engineering museum for elementary-age kids and their families. Bring your young designers, inventors, and engineers for a day of fun!
You'll experience:
- Interactive, kid-powered exhibits. Experiment with mechanisms and simple machines, structures and shapes, optical technologies, all in the open floor plan exhibit gallery that makes it easy to supervise your creative explorers. Kids touch, try, and build as they explore how things work!
- The Design Lab. Who's got the engineering moxie in your family? Everyone engineers with design challenges, projects, and make and takes in the Design Lab. Set your own pace and work collaboratively or individually. Who can build the fastest paper flyer or the sturdiest magnetic bridge? Try and try again until your creattions are just right! Activities change quarterly.
