Good Eggs began as a mission statement: To grow and sustain local food systems worldwide. With the rest of the founding team—Bob Zoller, Randy Puro, Greta Caruso and Ali Pflaum—the early days of the company were spent partnering with local farmers & foodmakers, researching, and testing ideas that would best support their social and environmental goals. After lots of prototyping and experimentation, they uncovered a need for a new kind of local grocery service. With that in mind, the Good Eggs marketplace officially launched in early Spring 2013 in the Bay Area.
