The words of the famous “Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi” and those of Psalm 23 from the Bible are rendered in handsome calligraphy by artist Carol Haile on 11x14 foam board.  The “P” of Psalm 23 is enlarged and illuminated as carefully as if it were done by a monk in the middle ages, and the calligraphy has gold dots and illumination at the end also.  It is matted with pale grey-green and beveled edges. The Serenity Prayer of St. Francis is illuminated with a colored floral motif on the first “L” of “Lord” and with a bird at the end.  This piece is not matted.  Both works are the same size and would look wonderful as a pair, hung together.
