Holy cow!  This pair of whimsical watercolors by illustrator/calligrapher Carol Haile feature bovine beauties.  “Bessie Celebrates Veterans Day” appears in calligraphy under an 8x10 foamboard watercolor of a black and white cow on gold hay under the blue sky.  “Bessie” is wearing a small American flag by her ear and looks as American as, well, a cow!

Display this with another watercolor 8x12, matted in beige with four cows, three of them black and white, one brown, all standing at attention like soldiers.  These beefy bovines are dressed in blue military uniforms, complete with ribbons and medals. Each is proudly holding an American flag.
