This fine collector’s plate titled “The Ones That Got Away” is from the Practice Makes Perfect collection by Lynn Kaatz.  It pictures a golden retriever on a dock with her approximately eight-week-old pup.  The pup has accidentally opened a fishing basket and released two beautiful trout which are in the process of escaping back into the pond.  In the distance, the fisherperson is oblivious to the mayhem happening on the dock, though mother dog looks askance.  The plate, #4819A, comes with a certificate of authenticity and is hard-fired porcelain, and is plate two in the series.
