Nestled above the scenic Teton Valley, Idaho, Grand Targhee Resort is 42 miles from Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and 82 miles from Idaho Falls, Idaho; and under four hours from Bozeman, Montana. Yellowstone National Park is a scenic two hour drive and Grand Teton National Park is a 90 minute drive.

The Grand Targhee averages over 500 inches of snowfall per season which ranks it among the top five ski resorts in North America. It is 670 miles inland and the snow that falls is nearly always powder snow. The reason for the abundant snowfall is twofold. First, the area is on the west slope or "wet" side of the Teton Range, topped by Grand Teton at 13,775 feet and, second, because there is a moisture channel through the Rocky Mountains formed by the Snake River Plain in Idaho that channels moisture from the Pacific Ocean to the west slope of the Tetons.

The charming, mountainside lodge features a welcoming lobby with a large fireplace and comfortable seating area. Within walking distance to the lifts, mountain bike trails, pool, hot tub, spa, and on-site dining, Teewinot Lodge rooms feature two queen pillow top beds, bath and shower combo, high-definition television, telephone, coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, and complimentary wireless internet.
