Children ages 4-7 use stories as the basis for creating music, improvising their own “soundtracks.” Students learn to interpret mood, color and nuance as the story unfolds. Before ever learning to play another composer’s music, children have the opportunity to discover their own musical story.
Amy R. Levine, credentialed music teacher and Licensed Simply Music and Play-a-Story teacher, has been teaching music to children and adults for over 15 years.
Materials, including instructional videos, audio files and pdfs, are not included. Parents/students ages 7+ will have the option to purchase either a $10 or $35 materials package per family. Materials options for ages 4-7 range from $10 to $25.
Lessons are held in the Palms/Cheviot Hills area, near National Blvd. and Castle Heights Ave, L.A. 90034.
