LACC is one of the ten most active chess clubs in the country and hosting the strongest weekly tournament (LA Masters). Operating on the premises of the Barrington Bridge Club, LACC conducts weekly lectures and tournaments. LACC is a non-profit organization devoted to extending the role of chess in the West Los Angeles, Malibu, Palisades, Brentwood, Beverly Hills, Culver City, and Santa Monica areas.

• LACC promotes the study and knowledge of the game of chess, for its own sake as an art and enjoyment, as well as a means for the improvement of the society as a whole.


• LACC informs, educates, and fosters the development of players (professionals and amateurs) and those who are merely trying to understand and improve their knowledge of the Royal Game.


• LACC encourages the development of a network of institutions devoted to enhancing the growth of chess in West Los Angeles area schools.
