Description
Since 2003, Santa Monica Water Polo has been teaching and coaching water polo and splashball in Los Angeles. Each of our coaches has college, international, or Olympic water polo playing experience and each is highly qualified to teach boys and girls between 5 -19 years old the intricacies and fundamentals of water polo and splashball (10U &8U).
Splashball water polo is for kids in the 8U & 10U age group. Splashball is designed as an introduction to youth water polo for boys and girls in elementary school (5-9 years old). We also offer middle school & high school water polo for older kids. As the kids learn, they move up from Splashball into the middle school water polo class.
Our coaches teach kids the basics of water polo and swimming (slowly getting them used to treading water, for example) and to the game itself. The splashball offered is for elementary school kids all over Los Angeles and beyond but we see most of our kids coming from neighborhoods in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Culver City, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Venice, and Santa Monica.

Splashball classes are twice weekly on Fridays from 6-7 pm and Sunday from 5-6 pm at Santa Monica High School.
Participants need to be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted. They do not need to be great swimmers, but they do need to be water safe.
