“Water Color Wonder”

      One day we were experimenting with watercolors, eyedroppers and paper towels.  The children were fascinated watching the colors absorb and mix into the paper towels.  The following day we shredded the paper towels. How could we make these vivid colors pop on the canvas? We decided on a black tempera background.   The children painted the background and then used scrapers to give it some texture.  Then, they glued on the colorful paper towels and the “Water Color Wonder” was born!
