Every Nube9 garment and accessory is made from recycled, post-consumer plastic bottles that are sourced in the U.S.A. Each keeps between nine and 36 single-use plastic water bottles from reaching our landfills and oceans. We're also committed to ethical and closed-loop manufacturing - we design and manufacture in our Seattle or LA studios, and when consumers and teams are finished with our pieces, they can return them to us to be recycled into new fabrics.

Our fabrics are knit in the US out of fibers manufactured in North Carolina. All of the plastic bottles come directly out of the US recycling system. Locally sourced post-consumer plastic bottles are chipped, melted down and extruded into poly fiber. A moisture-wicking finish is added before extrusion; embedded in the fiber so it will last the lifetime of the garment. Our fabrics are super soft and blended with spandex for great shape retention. Most are at least UPF 50 as well. All the performance of regular poly without the waste!
