The Cass Estate Vineyard, located southeast of the town of Paso Robles, exemplifies the quality of the Paso Robles region with its warm days, cool coastal breezes, and exceptional soils. Resting at 900 feet of elevation, the 145-acre vineyard is planted to 12 varieties on a large terrace above the Huer Huero River. Deposited over centuries, the diverse alluvial soils make for an expressive site that produces fruit of incredible quality.

This package includes 5 bottles of Cass Cabernet Sauvignon: 1 bottle of each vintage 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013.

2009 Cass Cabernet Sauvignon

Another fantastic wine from a phenomenal vintage at Cass Vineyard, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon displays the powerful character and impeccable balance that can only be achieved amidst perfect ripening conditions. The aromatics are downright huge on the entry, filled with warm winter spice notes of cinnamon and clove that accompany baked plum, currant, cassis, and cedar. The palate is a full bore, mouth-coating experience of baked black cherry, cola, licorice, red plum, and fig jam. Consistent with the nose are flavors of warm spices, complemented by high notes of brown sugar and wintergreen. Soft and full, the tannins are sweet and integrated, showing good mid palate traction and a spicy body that trails off with a burst of melted cherry. A classic Cabernet from Cass and clearly one of the most
outstanding in recent years.

2010 Cass Cabernet Sauvignon

"This densely concentrated wine is intense with blackberry and black currant flavors. The tannins are strong but very finely textured, giving the wine a velvety mouthfeel. It finishes with sweet oak notes and a warmth from alcohol that barbecue will easily handle." 88 points - Wine Enthusiast

2011 Cass Cabernet Sauvignon

2012 Cass Cabernet Sauvignon

"Opaque ruby. Heady aromas of dark berries, smoky minerals and incense are lifted by a suggestion of black pepper. Sweet, dense and seamless on entry, then tighter in the mid-palate, with juicy acidity giving focus to the sweet plum jam and blueberry flavors. A smoky note builds in the glass and carries through a long, juicy finish that's framed by smooth, slow-building tannins. This suave wine is surprisingly approachable but clearly has the material for aging." 91 Points - Vinous

2013 Cass Cabernet Sauvignon

"Cabernet from Paso Robles can sometimes show too much alcohol on the palate, but the Cass estate Cab pulls off a nifty feat by having all the richness and body you expect from Paso without the heat. A Platinum award-winner at the 2016 Sommelier Challenge International Wine Competition."  94 pts. Robert Whitley Sep 27, 2016

The nose suggests a bouquet of black cherry, cedar shavings, crème de cassis and crushed cardamom seed. Layers of tart red plum, stewed tomato paste, dried herbs and ripe raspberry envelope the palate, while subtle tannin and a bright acidity further enhance flavors of steeped black tea and dried cranberry. A combined essence of seasoned leather, sweet pipe tobacco and whispers of balsamic glaze creates a lingering finish.
