Description

A Capital Experience: Congressman David Schweikert (AZ-6th District) or his Chief of Staff (depending on availability) will lead a tour of the U.S. Capitol dome for up to 6 people – something which can only be done with a Member of Congress or their Chief of Staff. This is one of the most difficult tours to come by in D.C.! Be prepared to climb 300 steps (18 floors) to the top. The view is breathtaking from the balcony just under The Statue of Freedom. Your private tour will continue through the U.S. Capitol and the East Wing of the White House and will include the back Capitol corridors with stops in the Old Supreme Court Chambers, the Crypt, the Old Senate Chamber and more. You’ll learn about the rich history of the building and many of the distinguished leaders that served there. Did you know that President Theodore Roosevelt gave the White House its official name in 1901?

Special Instructions

Please note that this program must be scheduled 2 months in advance. Contact Katherina Dimenstein, Chief of Staff via email at Katherina.Dimenstein@mail.house.gov to schedule. The tours are only available Monday – Friday when Congress is in session. The winning bidder will receive the appropriate contact information to arrange the tour and more details on any restrictions that may apply.
