Eugene Sailor Studios (ESS) is a small studio pottery run by Joel Shaw, out of Indianapolis, IN. Joel and his wife Kristen love the simple utility and necessity of everyday pieces, while feeling that handmade wares carry the most beauty when they are used daily. While Joel and Kristen run the house, their three children, Elsie (4), Simeon (4), and Judah (8Mo), run around the house (or roll in Judah's case). Joel and Kristen had the great privilege of bringing their daughter, Elsie, home from Mwana Villages in September 2017. Since then she and Simeon have been running around in the shop, throwing clay, and having a blast."
