Description
Use this beautiful Binga Shallow Bowl to store a pair of Moroccan Earrings and Krobo Glass Necklace...truly unique with amazing craftmanship!
Masterweave Binga bowls are the highest quality Tonga-style baskets seen in over 20 years of working in Zimbabwe. A select few women use small vines, wild grasses, and natural palm leaves dyed with tree bark to weave these intricately patterned baskets, which are characterized by their bold, geometric, high-contrast patterns and tight weaving. The palm leaf must be harvested at just the right time to get the nice light cream color.
Baskets of Africa, founded in 2002, supports weavers who are crop and livestock farmers weaving to supplement their family's income. Per Baskets of Africa, "By purchasing one of these unique creations you are contributing to the preservation of African culture and the weavers' financial independence".
Enjoy this treasured bowl and this beautiful, stylish and unique jewelry!
