Description

The Baldwin STEM club meets every Wednesday morning in the library—but it’s only for grades two and up. That’s so unfair! You are bidding on a one-hour “Into to STEM” Workshop, which will be held in your home (or at the playground next to school) for up to eight kindergartners/first graders.

The workshop will take place on a Saturday or Sunday (date TBD) and will be led by Joshua Finklestein, one of the parents who helps run the STEM club, with Sophia Sykes-Finklestein (grade five) as an assistant.

Specific topics covered in the workshop will be determined after consultation with the winning bidder—but it could include catapults, simple electronics, DNA extraction from strawberries, wind-powered machines, and more. Materials will be provided and projects can be kept by the participants.
