14 Steps Away was written by a very good friend of St. John School, Larry Theriault, III and illustrated by Julia Kokernak. Larry is from Peabody and is legally blind. This blindness is a result of a brain tumor he survived as a toddler. Over the last 8 years Larry has found comfort from his battle by reading and writing children's stories. Larry hopes his stories will bring as much joy to young children as he has in writing them.
