TITLE: “Expression through Landscapes”

DESCRIPTION: Inspired by the work of Ted Harrison, our fourth graders created beautiful landscapes of their own unique interests. Students were encouraged to create thick, bold lines to develop the shapes of their landscapes. Bright and bold colors were used to fill in the space. Students were encouraged to create landscapes that expresses their own ideas. Students were encouraged to describe ways in which artistic creations serve as expressions of culture and influence behavior of people living in a particular culture. Students developed the understanding that people in different places view the world differently. The pieces are bold, bright and unique to each student’s view of our world!
