Description
For Farm to Feast 2019, Class Four is offering a handmade outdoor dining table from raw milled cypress that was inspired by the students’ trip to Ft. Ross and the life of the Russian settlers and Native Americans that lived and worked there. Two rough sawn boards from Sturgeons Mill were surfaced and edges rounded by the students using hand planes. They learned about working with the grain of the wood and the beauty and complexity that is found within the tree.
The students have made 8 cross stitched napkin holders and linen napkins will be included to augment this gorgeous table.
It is a 38" by 8' table which should seat 8-10 people comfortably. The table is made of thick boards which should wear well with weather if used outside. The base to the table is made of aluminum for strength and to keep the table from becoming too heavy.
Special Instructions
A family from Class Four will deliver and install the table for the lucky winner!
