Enjoy a week in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest in this family cabin on the Skykomish River.

Only 54 miles NE of Seattle close to the town of Index, WA, this cabin is a great getaway for summer adventures or a relaxing autumnal nature vacay. The cabin has two bedrooms (one queen and one full), a loft with two twin beds, and a pull-out sofa bed. The kitchen has an electric stove/oven, fridge, sink, and plenty of cooking/baking equipment, although since water is drawn directly from the river it must be boiled before use. There is a shower and a sink in the bathroom, but you must use the outhouse outside (but it's a cute outhouse, stocked with Sunset magazines from the '90s). The Skykomish River is directly outside the door off the cabin's wraparound deck. Plunge into the Skyko for refreshing swims, enjoy the gorgeous views of Mt. Index from a deck chair, or grill and eat dinner outside while taking in the view. This cabin is comfy, cozy, and rustic. Amazing day hikes, kayaking trips, climbing adventures, or tubing trips down the rivers abound. Cragmont kiddo Uli's favorite thing to do is to make his parents drive tubes up river and then tube down with his family in the mild rapids (there's even a tree swing along the way).
