One eight-week memoir writing workshop with author Donna Minkowitz, who has taught memoir writing for over 20 years. Classes meet on Wednesday nights from 7 to 9 PM, and new classes will start in September 2019 and winter, 2020. (No class sessions will meet on Jewish holidays.) The focus is on craft, particularly on using the five senses, lyricism, emotion, storytelling, and insight to create profound and relatable works of personal writing. Students get frequent feedback in a supportive atmosphere.

Donna Minkowitz is the author of two critically-acclaimed memoirs. She has taught memoir writing and creative nonfiction at venues ranging from the 92nd Street Y to the New York Writers Workshop and the JCC of the Upper West Side.
